About This Location

UPMC Northwest in Seneca, Cranberry Township, has 96 private rooms, including 30 that can be converted for semiprivate occupancy, yielding as many as 126 beds. A one-story, 28 bed behavioral health building, part of the UPMC Behavioral Health Network, adjoins the hospital via an enclosed walkway. A nine bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and a 16 bed transitional care unit are also located adjacent to the hospital.

Case Assignments

UPMC Northwest’s case mix include, but are not limited to, General, Orthopedics, Urology and Endo.

MD’s supervise CRNA’s at this location.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Position Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a Physician
