About This Location

Silver Spring Eye has been serving the eyecare needs of the Washington Metro area for over 30 years. Our specialty is in general Ophthalmology with an emphasis on Premium IOL’s and Laser Assisted Cataract surgery. In our state of the art practice we pride ourselves on knowing you and providing you with excellent eyecare.

Case Assignments

Ophthalmology services include diagnosis and treatment for a range of conditions including cataract, corneal disorders, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye and macular degeneration. Also specializes in Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery, Corneal Transplantation and Electroretinography.

Schedule Includes:

  • Monday-Thursday (8 hour shifts)

  • Local strip malls, movie theaters and restaurants

Position Responsibilities

  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Position Requirements

  • Current license as a registered professional nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
