About This Location

Pottstown Hospital is a 232 bed voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital that is a member of tower health. It specializes in behavioral health and treating: Arthritis, Arthroscopic Surgery, Joint Replacement (Hip and Knee), Osteoporosis, Sports Medicine, Trauma/Fractures, Injuries to: Head, neck and spine, Shoulder, Arm, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Hip, Knee, and Ankle.

Case Assignments

Pottstown Memorial Medical Center has a dynamic team atmosphere. The facility provides opportunity for teaching SRNA’s as well as autonomy with support.
The case mix includes, but is not limited to, ortho, urology and vascular.

CRNA’s are offered the opportunity to perform regional blocks at this location.

Location Facts

Schedule Includes:

  • 8’s, 10’s, 12’s, 24’s, weekends, and holidays
  • Each CRNA takes one (minimum) in house call per week
  • No beeper call

  • On the Schuylkill River Memorial Park
  • 45 minutes from Philadelphia
  • 25 minutes to King Of Prussia Mall
  • Various parks, rivers and ski resorts in the area
  • Near downtown Phoenixville, PA

Position Responsibilities

  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Position Requirements

  • Current license as a registered professional nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
