Position Requirements

A voluntary nonprofit short term acute care hospital. The emergency department treats more than 15,000 patients each year and has a trauma unit and eight treatment beds.

Case Mix: No OB, total knee and total hip replacements, knee scopes, shoulder scopes and replacements, rotator cuff repairs, sleeve gastrectomy’s, spinal fusions, laminectomies, hernias, gallbladders, appendectomies, colon resections. All types of eye surgeries: including cataracts, glaucoma, retina and strabismus repairs in kids down to 10 months of age. Breast resections with reconstructions. Endoscopies, sedation for pain management procedures, also hand and wrist surgery: carpal tunnel, wrist releases arm, leg, hip, ankle fractures and podiatry cases.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
    • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
    • Pre-anesthesia assessment
    • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
    • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
    • Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
    • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

    Requirements

    • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
    • ECFMC and FLEX
    • Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
    • Currently licensed as a Physician
