About This Location

Riverside Walter Reed Hospital is a 67-bed nonprofit, short term acute care facility, that is a member of the Riverside Health System. The facility has both a Certified Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center as well as a complete range of outpatient services including blood-work, bone density testing, CT, mammography, MRI, PFT, ultrasound, stress testing and more.

We are seeking a full-time anesthesiologist to join the group at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. Schedule of one week on with call, one week off and third week of days, allows for great work life balance. 17 weeks off per year!

Base: 375K
Sign-On Incentives: 70K
17 weeks off per year

Endo, Ortho, Ophthalmology, General, Urology, Vascular, Gyn, ENT

Location Facts

  • About an hour to Richmond, VA
  • Along the Ware River
  • Near the York River and Chesapeake Bay

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Position Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a Physician
